Here's a holiday gift idea for you!

...Or it may just be an addictive snack that gets eaten within the first 10 minutes! :)

Cinnamon Spiced Nuts!

You can use whatever kind of nuts you like.
This recipe was originally for pecans, which I think may have worked better. But I don't have any pictures of the pecans...The almonds didn't seem to soak in mixture as well, but if they last a second day, they're better the second day :) So without further ado, here's the recipe!

2 c. pecan halves (or other nuts)
2T. butter
1/4 t. ground cayenne pepper
3 T. sugar (or I use 1 1/2 T. light agave nectar)
4 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt

Melt butter in large skillet. Add hot pepper and sugar (or agave). Add pecans to skillet and cook over medium heat. Stir every 30 seconds.

After 2-3 minutes, stir constantly till nuts just begin to brown. Don't let them burn. Turn off heat. Stir in salt and cinnamon. Adjust seasonings to taste.

That's it!
And these would also make great gifts, in glass jars with decorative fabric on top, or line decorative containers with wax paper.

 Be creative! And...of course...enjoy! :)
